This update will simply hold nothing but my ramblings about anything & nothing! because i just wanna ramble…
This Harry Potter box set was the nicest gift ever from my DAD, i have been contacting Magrudy for a while now concerning this complete set, & they used to tell me its out of stock PLUS out of print… but thanks to Kinokuniya, they receieved a full load of them a couple of weeks after, Kinokuniya should issue membership cards, im kinda neglecting Magrudy ever since the later opened in Dubai… have i ever mentioned that my dream job is to work for Magrudys? you can add two more dream places, Kino & Tarjem …. & nope i didn’t apply to any 
& yes i bought a 16Gig iPhone 3G, no, i don’t need it, especially that i have a very similar phone, HTC Touch HD, which is almost the same size, same functions & both are touch screen.. so what was i thinking? well, i simply wasn’t thinking, i just wanted it… it happens to all of you right?…
That’s my brother’s way of playing Monopoly, he’s Hamtaro & I’m Bullet Bill (it even has a Wiki page!) … don’t even ask how i know it’s name!!
Now that Ramadan is over, I can go back to reading books… I have so many that I dunno where to start from… I’ve planned to start reading the first Harry Potter book, Harry Potter & the Sorcerer’s Stone... but as for Arabic, I am completely clueless… any suggestions?
Speaking of books, don’t you just LOVE it when your books shout “I’VE BEEN AGGRESSIVELY READ & ENJOYED” .. well i do … look at the textures! and just look at the red spine, SHANTARAM, it has been read twice, by me & my dearest Alwasl Girl… & if only i had my copy of Kane & Abel, the skin’s ripped off! (calling cousin N, if you have the copy & you’re not willing to read it, GIVE IT BACK, or else….. )

And just before i forget, if you have a copy of Cecilia’s book, Thanks for the Memories, please take my word, DON’T READ IT, it’s boring… like so boring & predictable that i can’t believe i finished this book!.. it’s nothing compared to her other book, If You Could See Me…
Is it just me, or do you people become speechless & dumb found when someone gives you the like of this phrase :
“You actually READ books?! (la i eat them) but why? are you nuts?!… University books are more than enough…..Mash’Allah, good for you, but I’d never read books….etc”….
I’m 100% positive the majority of UAE national readers face such comments from people around them, and as sad as it is, the majority who have this mentality are EMIRATIES around me, not Indians, not Arabs, but Emiraties ..! seriously, whats wrong with this part of the world? are we enjoying the ignorance?.. we are Ummat Eqra’! books were not published for nerds & boring fellows, nor were they created to give you a pain in the stomach!… haven؛t you ever heard these words..

Listen to what these famous people of history said.. and think for a few seconds about our Arab world….
I am thankful that I come from a family of readers, and most of my friends are readers as well… having a book accomanying me everywhere has had a strong influence on non readers, i am glad that some people started to ask me for recommendations and became avid readers them selves…. trust me pals, by simply having a book in hand, you’ll make a difference…. and always keep this in mind and tell this to your children now or in the future…

now i am not even 0% motivated to read it

in my opinion passing thru life experience better than reading it in books
then you will feel, touch and live the issue
remember some people smile in your face but they dont mean it and others act normal but they carry alot of feelings for you

i remembered when some of the girls i now saw me reading in the class .. then she said to me ” do u read !!? .. i don’t like reading .. the school books are enough to read .. ” something like that …
i felt at that moment .. what happened with us .. ?!! why our people don’t like reading + don’t want to learn as if they are forest to .. .. ?
i feel that i want to read ur shantaram book .. .. cause u recommend many people .. to read it .. and cause of it’s eaten cover

lol Jinjal, how about you start with books that people keep on recommending? .. but before that, you have to find something that meets your interest, start with topics that interest you, 3shan matmleen .. & also, go for light reads as a start… novels like “a walk to remember” .. “if you could see me now”… “anne of green gables”…. these are very fast English reads .. as for fast paced Arabic books, go for “3ayza atgawwiz” … kash5a y’6a7k

it is messy but i don’t care as long as all my books are with meeeee.. they’re my babies. and i do cherish them so much.
books taught me a lot.
they accompanied me when i used to feel so lonely
they made me laugh until my stomach hurt
they made me cry so hard…
