I found the book “The Catcher in the Rye” by J.D.Salinger, a weird yet entertaining read. The time span of the book is no more than a couple of days, yet, Holden, the main character, jumps into a thousand topic in a single second. The language is nothing sophisticated, and the paragraphs are rather short, which by the way, can give you this marathon running feel that you may or may not like.
I couldn’t help but adore the mad boy Holden and his affection for his late brother Allie & adorable baby sister Phoebe. I personally wouldn’t mind having such a brother
Sometimes I found myself agreeing with Holden, & even remembered some of the arguments I got into with people.
I rated this book 4/5 for i have read much more interesting fiction to give this one a five
I recommend those who haven’t read it to give it a try, it’s a fast and enjoyable read despite my messed up review
” The whole thing was sort of funny, in a way, if you thought about it, and all of a sudden i did something I shouldn’t have. I laughed. And I have one of these very loud, stupid laughs. I mean if i ever sat behind myself in a movie or something, I’d probably lean over and tell myself to shut up.”

” You can hit my father over the head with a chair and he won’t wake up, but my mother, all you have to do to my mother is cough somewhere in Siberia and she’ll hear you.”
